SLO Mashed Potatoes (a.k.a. SLO Mashers) Submitted by Pam H. of Denver Colorado
- 2 pounds of potatoes
- ½ cup butter milk or heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon SLO Seasoning (or to taste)
Cooking Instructions:
Start by peeling the potatoes and slicing into quarters for easier cooking. Bring a gallon of water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, ad potatoes and cover for ten minutes (or until potatoes are soft enough to mash). Place butter in a large mixing bowl. Then, drain the potatoes and add atop the butter. Allow the hot potatoes to melt the butter before mashing. Once butter has melted you can start mashing the potatoes and add the butter milk (or heavy cream) as well as the SLO Seasoning and continue to mash.
